Tree Suitability Tool
Finding the right trees just got easier
This free tool is built on the same rigorous suitability models we use in our farm design software, Overyield. We use underlying datasets from the U.S. Soil Web Survey and U.S. Geological Survey to give you details for up to six species of trees & shrubs.
How to use the tool:
Enter your address or GPS coordinates
Use the automatically generated parcels or draw your own
Create or delete additional parcels for each field you want
Select tree species to learn more about suitability
Get planning support from our team
Not sure where to start? No problem!
Reach out and learn how one of our team’s seasoned planners can provide an in-depth analysis to present design options for your land – based on your goals and context. You get a pre-built design in Overyield, and can use or modify as desired.
We just need to know more about your land and goals to get started.
What will your transition look like?

Why work with us?
Your project success is covered
We understand that the project supply chain can be expensive and confusing to navigate. Our procurement process provides convenient, low-risk options for sourcing.
We handle the value chain from seeds, tissue culture, tree tubes, minerals, equipment, and more to ensure on-time delivery.
Minimum 85% survivorship, and a warranty to back it up
Ensuring the right genetics in the right place is a huge investment. That’s why we guarantee the quality, delivery, and survival of our plantings.
Our team is deeply experienced in nursery supply chain management, so we know proper planting and care that ensures trees arrive and remain healthy.
Geospatially accurate farm plans & implementation that works with GPS tractors
As a first step, we use remote planning to provide a schematic agroforestry design using satellite data and Overyield. Next, a member of our team will visit the site to perform boots-on-the-ground surveying, assessment, and soil sampling.
What farmers are saying…
“We have now moved from 130 acres to over 2,000 acres of land that we manage being planted for chestnuts. We are excited that our landlords have embraced our vision to improve the land through these practices.”
